$5,500 Job Description UxS is seeking a Group Manager to lead a team responsible for all areas of electrical engineering. Scope includes vehicle electricalarchitecture, electrical and embedded systems design, circuit card assembly design and test, modeling and simulation, resource planning, and supporting project execution. This leader will also support strategic planning to help envision the future state of unmanned systems technology. Lead an electrical engineering team supporting the development of an innovative and market disruptive unmanned systems portfolio to shape and capture the future of maritime autonomous systems Essential Job Responsibilities Lead an electrical engineering team supporting the development of an innovative and market disruptive unmanned systems portfolio to shape and capture the future of maritime autonomous systems Develop next-generation electrical designs with a focus on innovation and time to market Apply Design Thinking principles to define customer-centric solutions Champion a growth mindset that embraces challenge and views obstacles as opportunities Support the development of business cases to assess and prioritize product investments Support the full product lifecycle needs of unmanned systems products related to the electrical engineering domain including obsolescence management, sustainment, and cost reduction Support the resource planning process to determine manpower and other resource needs Define and implement a seamless end-to-end electrical design process that accelerates development and release Support the definition and tracking of budgets, forecasts, metrics, and measures related to KPIs and performance objectives Define and implement best-practice electrical and electronic test and validation practices Inspire, manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers Plan and allocate electrical engineering resources Through employee development and hiring, build a world-class, motivated team Support the proactive management and statusing of product development budgets Minimum Qualifications This position requires a BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited school of engineering and 8 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering, and design or equivalent. A MS in Engineering and professional registration with 6 years of relevant experience are preferred. B.S. (M.S. preferred) in electrical engineering or a related field 10
years of electrical engineering development experience in a technology environment. 7
years of experience developing and delivering electrical and electronics products. 7
years of progressive team management experience in a dynamic environment, with proven ability to manage multiple development teams. #LI-MH1 AI MV EP TE Preferred Requirements Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, understand and help resolve issues promptly Deep knowledge of electrical and electronics design, the design process, and product verification methodologies Growth mindset-oriented leadership with a passion for team development and engagement Experienced in the full scope of electrical and electronics design as part of the product development lifecycle, including parts selection, PCB CAD layout, assembly and sub-assembly design and development, design verification testing, and sustainment Excellent understanding of modern electrical and electronics design tools and processes Familiar with design in a quality-focused environment including concepts of critical to quality feature identification, design for manufacture and assembly, etc. Knowledgeable in third party design standards such as CSA, UL, CE, etc. as well as military standards for environmental test, HALT/HASS, reliability, and safety. Prior complex autonomous systems and/or maritime industry experience preferred Physical Requirements May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
